There’s something magical about the smell of warm bread and melted cheese. This little recipe is all about that moment – simple ingredients turning into pure comfort.
Ingredients:
1 baguette
12 oz (about 350 g) cheese (for example Brie or another semi-soft cheese)
3 cloves garlic
½ bunch fresh parsley
1–2 sprigs fresh marjoram
1–2 sprigs fresh rosemary
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon paprika
1 hot chili pepper
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Lettuce leaves, for serving
Preparation:
Cut the baguette into thick cubes.
Crush the garlic. Finely chop the parsley, rosemary, and marjoram.
Melt the butter in a skillet, add the herbs, and sauté briefly.
Add the garlic, stir, and cook just until fragrant.
Lightly sprinkle the baguette cubes with salt and paprika, then toss to coat evenly.
Cut the cheese and the chili pepper into larger cubes.
Thread the bread cubes and cheese pieces alternately onto small skewers or sticks, adding bits of chili pepper between them.
Sprinkle lightly with black pepper and fry the skewers in a pan for about 5 minutes, until golden brown.
Serve warm on lettuce leaves.
