Pumpkin is the queen of the autumn table.
It is a known fact that pumpkin is an excellent diuretic or medicine. it facilitates the expulsion of water from the body, and it is recommended for people suffering from rheumatism, gout, inflammation of the kidneys and bladder. It is an excellent dietary food for obese people, as well as for diabetics if they do not eat sugar. Due to its pectin content, it is recommended for those people suffering from diseases of the stomach, small intestine and who have bloody diarrhea.
The yellow orange part of the pumpkin is rich in ingredients that have a beneficial effect on our health. Its color indicates the presence of carotene, which is one effective defender of our immunity system and is considered an anti-cancer substance. it contains B group vitamins, namely vitamin B1, B2, B6, niacin, folic acid and vitamin C. Its mineral composition consists of potassium, phosphorus, lactium and iron. It is also beneficial to the body due to its pectin and cellulose content. All the goodness of pumpkin is found in only 100 grams of its flesh, which provides only 30 kcal. Pumpkin seeds have 20 times more calories because they contain more fat, protein and carbohydrates. Unsaturated fatty acids are represented in a higher percentage of fats, while there is no cholesterol. Like pumpkin flesh, their seeds are rich in potassium, phosphorus and carotene.
Because of its properties that are valuable for health, pumpkin is recommended for children of abyoung age, pregnant women, nursing mothers and the elderly.

Pumpkin bread
For pumpkin bread you need:
200 g of butter,
2 1/2 cups of flour,
one cup of brown sugar,
1 cup white sugar,
1 teaspoon of baking powder,
1 teaspoon of baking soda,
1 teaspoon of cinnamon,
3/4 teaspoon of ground cloves,
2 cups grated pumpkin,
3 eggs,
1/2 cup sweet cream,
1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.

Preparation
Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour a baking mold of your choice with detachable sides, and remove the excess flour. Mix the flour well, along with both types of sugar, baking powder, baking soda and all the spices in a bowl. Then add the grated pumpkin and mix everything well. In a separate bowl beat the eggs, sour cream, butter and vanilla extract very well, then add to the dry mixture of flour, sugar and spices.
Pour the prepared mixture into the baking mold and bake in a heated oven for about 35 minutes. Check with a wooden stick whether the inside is cooked. Take out the baked pumpkin bread and let it cool a for 5-10 minutes. When it cools down, take it out of the mold and allow it to completely cool down, the serve with coffee hot chocolate, or any warm drink of choice.
