“Southern Night” cake
- 2 eggs;
- 150 g of oil;
- 200 g of sugar;
- 300 g of flour;
- 10 g of baking powder;
- 0.5 teaspoons of soda;
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar;
- 1 glass of milk;
- 70 g of cocoa powder.
Cream – whatever you like.
Decoration – chocolate or cocoa glaze.
Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda in a bowl.
In another bowl, beat the softened butter, sugar, and one egg at a time.
Pour a spoonful of vinegar into a glass of milk.
Mix the contents of three containers: dry dough ingredients, whipped mixture and fermented milk.
The resulting chocolate dough – fragrant, runny, moderately thick – is poured into a detachable form, the bottom of which is covered with baking paper, and the sides are greased with vegetable oil.
Bake at 200C for about 30 minutes. Let’s try it with a toothpick.
After cooling the cake and removing it from the mold, cut it into two parts. Prepare the cream by whipping half a stick of butter and half a can of condensed milk and spread it on the cakes.
Pour melted chocolate over the top of the cake.
The chocolate cake is ready! And now I will tell you how you can diversify the basic version of the cake.
You can make different creams: creamy, with condensed milk or toffee, white cream or with cocoa, you can just cover it with thick cream!
In winter, you can add prunes or nuts to the cream, in summer – fresh berries – cherries, raspberries, apricots! You can decorate the cake with cream or chocolate glaze, grated chocolate or berries…
