The ancient Greeks emphasized honey as food, and they also knew about its medicinal properties. It was believed that the gods on Olympus drank ambrosia, a drink in which the main ingredient is honey. It is stated in the Koran: “Eat honey and you will get well.” Old Slavs produced and drank mead. Hippocrates, Pythagoras, Aristotle and others in their works mentioned honey as a good medicine for diseased digestive organs, ulcers, festering wounds and other ailments. At the end of the 19th and 20th centuries, there was more and more information about honey as food and medicine. A lot has been written and talked about. This led to the founding of the world association of beekeepers. New terms were also formulated, such as apitherapy, the treatment of certain diseases using honey and other bee products.

Clinical therapy appeared for the first time a little over a hundred years ago. So, today in the XXI century, honey is no longer a puzzle, and scientifically and in practice it has been proven that honey is a daily need of the modern man, almost from birth to the end of his life. All in all, you should know that honey nourishes, honey strengthens, honey prolongs a person’s life and makes it easier and more beautiful. Therefore, in order to prolong your life, use honey regularly, both in food and in treatment. Pollen, propolis, royal jelly and wax also have great value in the prevention and treatment of people, which is why proper attention is paid to them. Bee products are nutrition, and even more so, they are health. They are used preventively as supplements. No one eats honey or other bee products as food – meals, but as a supplement, which improves the quality of other food, which contributes to the preservation and recovery of human health, organ and body functions.
