“The second Sunday in May is dedicated to mothers, in commemoration of the feelings and virtues that maternal love helps to awaken and develop in the human heart, contributing to its improvement in the sense of goodness and human solidarity.”
Around the world
In antiquity, the appreciation of motherhood was concomitant with the beginning of spring. There are records that, in Ancient Greece, the entrance to the station was celebrated in honor of Rhea, the mother of the gods. But the date celebrated in the United States — the second Sunday in May — is not unanimous throughout the contemporary world.
Use your culinary skills to prepare mouthwatering recipes that your mother will surely love.
