Colomba Italian Easter cake, recipe by Natalia Gorelova.
- Almonds – 1 handful.
- Wheat flour – 350 g
- Baking powder – 1 package.
- Sugar – 150 g
- Egg – 3 pcs.
- Raisins – to taste
- Almond essence – 1 tsp
- Rum – 90 ml
- Candied fruits – to taste
- chocolate – to taste
- Orange peel – 1 pc.
- Lemon peel – 1 pc.
- Milk – 170 ml
Colomba Italian Easter cake Cooking method
Separate the yolks from the whites.
Whip the whites in a thick foam, and the yolks – with sugar.
Add flour, milk and rum to beaten yolks.
Knead the dough and add baking powder.
Add almonds, candied fruit, orange and lemon zest, and almond essence.
Mix the whipped proteins with the resulting dough.
Oil the form with vegetable oil.
Spread the dough in a mold and bake for 40 minutes at a temperature of 180C.
