Imagine the best grenadine you ever tasted, a grenadine that transforms a Shirley Temple or a Tequila Sunrise. That is the difference between most store-bought grenadines and this one, made with 3 ingredients in 10 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

PREPARATION

  1. Combine ingredients in a small pot. Cook over medium heat for a few minutes, stirring to dissolve sugar and salt. Set aside to cool.
  2. For the best result, pour into a bottle or jar that has been sterilized (boil it and its cap or lid for 10 minutes). Syrup will hold in the refrigerator for about a month.
