Nutritional Therapy: Cranberry and Aloe Vera Spa Water
Drink 100 percent pure cranberry juice (no sugar added) diluted with water to flush
out the kidneys and bladder. An article from Clinics (São Paulo) shows that
cranberry has vitamin C, antioxidants, and polyphenols that function as a natural
defense mechanism against bacteria. It’s more effective as a preventive measure
than a cure for UTI, although it does benefit you by making you urinate more
frequently, which can decrease bacterial growth and keep you hydrated.
4 to 5 mint leaves
½ cup pure cranberry juice concentrate
1 cup aloe vera juice
2 cups filtered water
- Bruise the mint leaves by slapping them between your palms to release
the natural oils, and place the leaves in a large mason jar.
- Cut the cucumber into thin slices and add to the jar.
- Add ice.
- Fill the jar with the cranberry juice, aloe vera juice, and water, and
gently stir with a straw or spoon.
- Drink throughout the day.
