Mine go nuts for fish pie… Made even easier if you have leftover mash from a previous meal.
Poach the fish in 1/2 pint milk until not translucent any more (about 5mins) , separate fish into dish, milk into jug. Make roux with a tablespoon of melted butter, then add tablespoon flour mix and slowly add hot milk back to it, stirring/whisking as you go. Add handful of grated cheese, pour over fish, slap mash on top, sprinkle more grated cheese on top, oven for 20
